Workers
Workers are the lifeblood of every business, and their commitment and dedication are the driving force behind its success. Today, it is more challenging than ever for companies to find and retain a qualified, reliable, and motivated workforce. This is due to a number of factors, including:
- Low pay: Many workers are struggling to make ends meet, which can lead to job dissatisfaction and a lack of motivation.
- Lack of benefits: Workers often lack access to essential benefits such as health insurance and retirement savings plans, which can create financial hardship.
- Limited opportunities for growth: Many workers feel stuck in their jobs and have few opportunities for advancement or professional development.
- Job insecurity: The rise of automation and outsourcing has made many workers feel insecure about their jobs, which can lead to anxiety and stress.
- Lack of voice: Workers often feel like their voices are not heard by management, which can lead to disengagement and a sense of powerlessness.
- Unrecognized contributions: Workers' hard work and dedication are often taken for granted, and their contributions are not adequately recognized or rewarded.
Workers in Focus is committed to creating a better future for workers by empowering them to take control of their own destinies. We believe that worker cooperatives offer a more equitable and sustainable way of organizing businesses, and we are committed to providing the resources and support that workers need to start and succeed in their own cooperatives.

So, who are workers and how do you become one? Workers are employees in the company, who also have a deciding role since the company is organized as a worker co-op. You can become a worker through our membership in which case you are a part of the Workers in FOCUS company. The other way is to be employed by the innovator in his company.
Once you join the innovator’s company, you will be a part of the newly started workers coops and help the innovator develop and grow his business through the 5 funding phases, up to a point where it can employ at least 7 workers. Your role will be to perform a specific job role in the company, but you can also choose to have a more active role in the company and participate in decision making processes, since you will have ownership of the company shares together with the other workers.
If you become a member at Workers in FOCUS company, you will help us promote the platform, invest in new workers coops as well as participate in the work of workers coops you helped fund, according to your possibilities. As a member of Workers in FOCUS, you will have primary access to new job opportunities and a chance to build your career, in a company of your choice.
By working together, workers can create businesses that are owned and controlled by the people who work in them. These businesses will be more democratic, more equitable, and more sustainable than traditional businesses. They will also be more likely to create good jobs that provide workers with the opportunity to thrive.
